OUR MAKER GROUP

Nearly everything we make we design ourselves, sometimes from scratch and sometimes by adapting designs we discover elsewhere to suit our purposes and construction abilities/resources.

Our designs incorporate any conceivable combination of mechanical, electrical, electronic and software elements. Our building resources vary: in some cases we have precision mechanical workshop equipment; in others there is 3D-printing equipment; and in another you would find an electronic workbench and test equipment, with programming tools for software or microcode. Our group members generally each have some mixture of the above.

By working together we can each undertake projects that would be beyond our reach as individuals. So in the best tradition of engineering, "together we are more than the sum of our parts".

We are a group of people from a variety of backgrounds and experience who enjoy making things and sharing ideas with each other.
